Religious Education

Religious Education is taught by subject specialists from Year 7 onwards.

Students have two hours a fortnight in Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9. In Religious Education we seek to develop a sound understanding in the major world faiths as well as the impact these faiths can have in the wider world by looking at some topical subjects.

We encourage students to share their own opinions and ideas about what we study as well as developing their critical thinking skills throughout the three years.

In Year 9 students start their GCSE course which has a focus of Christian and Islamic beliefs, teachings and practices.
